A quick and easy summer mocktail featuring fresh peaches, mint, and a hint of smoky bourbon flavor without alcohol. Perfectly refreshing for hot days and crowd-pleasing for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced and pitted
  • About 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon non-alcoholic bourbon essence or smoked tea infusion
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes, crushed
  • Optional garnish: peach slices and mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced peaches and mint leaves in your mixing glass. Gently press with a muddler or wooden spoon about 10 times to release juice and oils without pulverizing.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of simple syrup. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of non-alcoholic bourbon essence or a splash of cooled lapsang souchong tea. Stir again to blend.
  4. Fill the serving glass about 3/4 full with crushed ice.
  5. Using a strainer if desired, pour the muddled peach mixture over the ice.
  6. Top with about 1 cup (240 ml) of club soda or sparkling water. Stir gently to combine without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a fresh peach slice and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Use crushed ice for faster chilling and balanced dilution. Prepare the muddled base just before serving for best flavor. Chilling glasses beforehand keeps the drink cold longer. Adjust bourbon essence amount to taste. Frozen peaches can be used if fresh are unavailable. For sugar-free option, substitute simple syrup with honey, agave nectar, or stevia.
