Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, or cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
  2. Stack about 6 wonton wrappers on a cutting board. Cut diagonally to create triangles. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with oil and sprinkle with flaky sea salt and optional seasonings. Bake for 6-8 minutes until golden and crispy. Let cool on the sheet.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing. Stir constantly until smooth and melted, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in hot sauce until fully incorporated. Add shredded chicken and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and chicken is evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the dip mixture to a small oven-safe dish (8×8-inch). Spread evenly. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and optional blue cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve warm with crispy wonton chips arranged around the dip.

Notes

For a milder dip, start with 1/3 cup hot sauce. The dip can be made ahead (without final bake) and refrigerated for up to 2 days. Wonton chips are best fresh but can be cut ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Shred your own cheese for best melting.
