This creamy peanut butter overnight protein oats recipe is a quick, no-cook breakfast that tastes like dessert but packs 30+ grams of protein. It takes three minutes to prepare and keeps you full until lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In your jar or container, add the milk and protein powder. Stir vigorously with a fork or small whisk until completely dissolved.
  2. Spoon in the Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Stir until combined with the milk mixture.
  3. Add your honey or maple syrup and the pinch of salt. Give it another good stir.
  4. Pour in the rolled oats and chia seeds. Stir until everything is evenly distributed and the oats are fully submerged.
  5. Screw the lid on tight and shake the jar vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with extra peanut butter, chocolate chips, or crushed peanuts. Eat cold or microwave for 45-60 seconds for warm oats.

Notes

For best results, use cold milk to prevent clumps. Shaking the jar after mixing ensures even distribution. These oats taste even better on day two. For a vegan version, use plant-based protein powder, dairy-free yogurt, and maple syrup. For a nut-free version, swap peanut butter for sunflower seed butter or tahini.
