These crispy air fryer honey garlic chicken wings are quick and easy to make, delivering a perfect balance of sticky sweetness and garlicky punch with a satisfying crunch in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 45 large garlic cloves, finely minced or pressed
  • 3 tablespoons honey (raw or local recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Small handful fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and let it run for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them in olive oil, then season evenly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place wings in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Air fry the wings for 25 minutes, shaking or flipping with tongs halfway through (around 12 minutes) until golden and crisp.
  5. While wings cook, combine minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring often until fragrant and slightly thickened.
  6. Transfer cooked wings to a bowl and pour the warm honey garlic sauce over. Toss until fully coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat wings dry thoroughly before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking. Keep heat moderate when warming honey garlic glaze to prevent burning. Flip wings halfway through cooking for even browning. Let wings rest a minute after coating to help glaze set without sogginess.
