  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Trim the asparagus by snapping off the woody ends (about 1-2 inches from the bottom).
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Set aside to cool slightly.
  4. Gather 4-5 asparagus stalks into a bundle. Wrap one slice of bacon around each bundle, spiraling from bottom to top.
  5. Brush the bundles generously with the garlic Parmesan butter mixture, coating all sides.
  6. Place the bundles on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through to crisp bacon evenly. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for extra crispness, watching closely.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with extra garlic Parmesan butter drizzled on top.
