easy halloween candy corn bark - featured image

This easy Halloween candy corn bark is a quick, three-ingredient treat that combines creamy white chocolate, chewy candy corn, and salty pretzels for a perfectly sweet and crunchy snack. It’s ready in under an hour and perfect for last-minute parties, classroom treats, or festive snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces (about 2 cups) white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 1 cup (about 150 grams) candy corn
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels or salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat, letting the paper extend slightly over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Place 12 ounces of white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals on 50% power, stirring well after each interval, until smooth and glossy (about 2-3 minutes total). Do not overheat.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer about 1/4-inch thick, forming a rough 9×13-inch rectangle.
  4. While the chocolate is still wet, scatter 1 cup of candy corn evenly over the surface, then sprinkle 1/2 cup of crushed pretzels or salted peanuts on top. Gently press the toppings into the chocolate with the back of a spoon or your fingertips.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm to the touch. For a quicker set, freeze for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Once set, lift the bark off the baking sheet using the parchment paper. Place on a cutting board and break into irregular pieces with your hands or a sharp knife.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For the smoothest melt, use Ghirardelli white chocolate chips or Wilton candy melts. Avoid white chocolate with vegetable oil as it can seize. Let melted chocolate rest 2-3 minutes before adding toppings to prevent candy corn from sinking. For a nut-free version, double the pretzels or use crushed potato chips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
