A quick and easy snack made with celery, creamy sunflower seed butter, and raisins. Perfect for lunchboxes, parties, or a healthy treat that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 to 8 large celery stalks, washed and trimmed
  • 1/2 cup creamy sunflower seed butter (recommended: SunButter Natural Creamy)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (regular or golden)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the celery stalks thoroughly under cold running water, then pat dry with a clean towel or paper towels.
  2. Trim the ends of each celery stalk, cutting off the bottom and any leaves at the top.
  3. Cut each celery stalk into 3 to 4 inch pieces (2 inch pieces for smaller kids).
  4. Using a butter knife or small spatula, spread a generous layer of sunflower seed butter into the groove of each celery piece, about 1 tablespoon per 3-inch piece.
  5. Press 5 to 7 raisins into the sunflower seed butter along the length of each celery piece, pressing gently so they stick.
  6. Arrange the finished pieces on a serving platter and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, keep celery cold and use room temperature sunflower seed butter. If making ahead, assemble celery and sunflower seed butter up to 4 hours in advance, store in the refrigerator, and add raisins just before serving. To revive limp celery, soak in ice water for 15 minutes. For a thinner log, cut celery in half lengthwise before spreading.
