A simple and festive apple cider mimosa bar perfect for fall brunches, combining sparkling wine with fresh apple cider and seasonal garnishes for a cozy, interactive experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 quart (950 ml) fresh, unfiltered apple cider
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling wine or champagne, chilled (brut or extra dry)
  • ½ cup (about 50 grams) fresh cranberries, washed
  • 4 to 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill the sparkling wine and apple cider in the fridge for at least 2 hours beforehand. If short on time, use a 30-minute ice bath.
  2. Prepare garnishes by washing cranberries, slicing the orange into thin rounds, and rinsing rosemary sprigs. Arrange them in small bowls or jars.
  3. Pour the apple cider into a large pitcher or beverage dispenser. Place garnishes, cinnamon sticks, and honey or maple syrup on the side.
  4. Keep the sparkling wine chilled separately in an ice bucket or fridge; do not mix with cider ahead of time.
  5. Invite guests to pour about half a glass of apple cider, then top with sparkling wine. Encourage adding garnishes like cinnamon sticks or orange slices.
  6. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of ground nutmeg on top of each glass before serving.
  7. Enjoy the mimosas slowly, keeping extra garnishes handy for refills or remixing.

Notes

Keep sparkling wine cold and mix with apple cider just before serving to preserve bubbles. Use larger garnishes like cinnamon sticks and orange slices for better presentation. Offer honey or maple syrup separately for guests who want extra sweetness. Fresh cranberries are preferred for garnish but frozen can be used in a pinch. For non-alcoholic versions, substitute sparkling wine with sparkling apple soda or ginger ale.
