A quick and easy Halloween punch made with orange sherbet, ginger ale, pineapple juice, and frozen raspberries. This spooky, non-alcoholic drink comes together in under 5 minutes and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser at any Halloween party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 quart orange sherbet, softened slightly at room temperature for 5 minutes
  • 2 liters ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (optional)
  • Plastic spider rings or gummy worms (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill everything first. About an hour before you plan to serve, put your ginger ale and pineapple juice in the fridge. The punch bowl too, if you have room.
  2. Soften the sherbet slightly. Take the sherbet out of the freezer about 5 minutes before you start.
  3. Add the frozen raspberries to the punch bowl. Spread them out evenly across the bottom.
  4. Pour in the pineapple juice. Drizzle it slowly over the raspberries.
  5. Add the ginger ale. Pour it gently down the side of the bowl to preserve carbonation.
  6. Scoop the sherbet on top. Use a large spoon or ice cream scoop to add dollops of sherbet. Don’t stir yet!
  7. Add garnishes. Drop in the plastic spider rings or gummy worms.
  8. Serve immediately. Ladle into cups, making sure each serving gets a few raspberries and a bit of sherbet.

Notes

Temperature is everything. Chill all ingredients and the punch bowl for at least an hour beforehand. Don’t overdo the sherbet—use about three-quarters of the quart. Make in batches for large parties. Frozen raspberries can stain cups and bowls, so use dark-colored cups if concerned. Don’t stir the punch until right before serving, and then just give it a gentle swirl.
