This grilled corn on the cob features a honey butter glaze and a festive patriotic seasoning blend, perfect for summer parties and BBQs. The sweet and smoky flavors caramelize beautifully on the grill, creating a crowd-pleasing side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob, husked
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 205°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter and honey until smooth. Stir in smoked paprika, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, and chili flakes if using. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  3. Husk the corn by removing outer leaves and silk threads. Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  4. Brush each ear of corn generously with the honey butter glaze using a basting brush.
  5. Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Turn every 3-4 minutes to cook evenly, grilling for about 12-15 minutes total until kernels are tender and slightly charred.
  6. Each time you turn the corn, brush it again with the honey butter glaze to build a sticky, flavorful crust.
  7. Check for doneness by piercing a kernel with a fork; it should pop easily.
  8. Remove from grill and give the corn one last brush with the glaze before serving.

Notes

Soften butter before mixing for smooth glaze. Watch for flare-ups on the grill to prevent burning the honey. Turn corn frequently and brush glaze each time for best flavor. Can be made ahead by preparing glaze up to 24 hours in advance and storing in fridge. Suitable for dairy-free by substituting vegan butter and maple syrup for honey.
