A refreshing and easy-to-make summer treat featuring watermelon slices topped with sweetened Greek yogurt and a colorful mix of fresh fruits, perfect for parties or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large seedless watermelon, sliced into 1-inch thick rounds
  • 1 ½ cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves, a handful for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or crushed nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the watermelon and pat dry. Slice the watermelon crosswise into 1-inch thick rounds. Cut each round into 6 to 8 pizza slices and set aside on a serving platter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and honey or maple syrup. Stir until smooth and slightly sweetened. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  3. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the sweetened yogurt evenly over each watermelon slice.
  4. Top each slice with a colorful mix of strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and banana slices. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  5. Sprinkle chia seeds or crushed nuts lightly over the fruit toppings for added texture (optional).
  6. Serve immediately to keep the watermelon crisp and juicy. If preparing ahead, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to one hour.

Notes

Pat watermelon slices dry with paper towels before spreading yogurt to prevent sogginess. Use fresh mint for a bright flavor contrast. Assemble just before serving for best texture. Optional toppings like nuts or chia seeds add crunch. Dairy-free yogurt can be used for vegan or dairy-free versions.
