Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cantaloupe (firm but ripe)
  • 1 medium pineapple
  • 1 small honeydew melon (or second cantaloupe)
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup white melon or jicama
  • 20–24 wooden skewers (6-inch)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup green grapes (seedless)
  • 1 cup red grapes (seedless)
  • 1 large orange (peeled and sliced into rounds or wedges)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Cut cantaloupe in half, scoop out seeds, and use a melon baller to create 20-24 orange balls. Repeat with honeydew or jicama for white balls.
  3. Cut pineapple into quarters, remove core, and cut into triangular chunks about 1-inch wide at the base.
  4. Assemble candy corn skewers: thread a white melon ball onto a skewer, then an orange cantaloupe ball, then a yellow pineapple triangle (pointy end up). Repeat for all skewers.
  5. Arrange the fruit tray base: scatter strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, grapes, and orange slices evenly on a large serving platter.
  6. Place the candy corn skewers on top of the fruit base, grouping them in clusters at different angles.
  7. Make the dipping sauce: whisk together Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optional candy corn pieces around the edges. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For best results, use fruit at the right ripeness: cantaloupe should give slightly at the stem end and smell sweet; pineapple leaves should pull out easily. Cut fruit into uniform sizes for professional-looking skewers. Keep fruit cold and assemble tray no more than 2-3 hours before serving. If making ahead, prep fruit and skewers separately and assemble just before guests arrive.
