A fun and healthy Halloween snack that looks like candy corn, made with fresh pineapple, mandarin oranges, and a creamy yogurt dip. Perfect for fall gatherings and school parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, peeled and cut into triangles
  • 1½ cups seedless mandarin oranges, peeled and separated
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into small cubes or chunks
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your pineapple (5 minutes): Cut off the top and bottom of your pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips, following the curve of the fruit. Cut out any remaining brown eyes with the tip of your knife. Slice the pineapple into ½-inch thick rounds, then cut those rounds into triangles. You want pieces that are roughly the same size—about 2 inches across at the widest part. Set aside on paper towels to drain any excess juice.
  2. Prepare the oranges (3 minutes): Peel your mandarin oranges and separate them into individual segments. If you’re using canned mandarins, drain them in a colander and pat them gently with paper towels.
  3. Cut the white pineapple layer (3 minutes): Take the remaining pineapple and cut it into small cubes, about ½-inch each. These will form the white tip of your candy corn shape.
  4. Make the yogurt dip (2 minutes): In your small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon if using. Whisk until smooth. Taste it—you want it sweet enough to feel like a treat but not cloying. Add another drizzle of honey if your fruit is on the tart side. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  5. Assemble the candy corn shape (5 minutes): Place your platter horizontally in front of you. Starting at the left side, arrange your pineapple triangles in a wide triangle shape—this is the orange section of your candy corn. The base should be about 8-10 inches wide, tapering to a point on the right side. Next, add your mandarin orange segments in a slightly narrower triangle shape overlapping the pineapple. Finally, add the pineapple cubes at the tip. The overall shape should look like a giant c…
  6. Final touches (2 minutes): Place the bowl of yogurt dip at the wide end of the candy corn or off to the side. If you’re using mint leaves, tuck a few around the edges. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Dry fruit thoroughly to prevent sogginess. Cut uniform pieces for best visual effect. Don’t overthink the shape—a general triangle works. Make the dip ahead for better flavor. Assemble no more than 2 hours before serving.
