A quick and easy Halloween punch float made with orange sherbet, lemon-lime soda, orange soda, and pineapple juice. It’s creamy, fizzy, and perfect for parties—kids love the gummy worm decorations!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 quarts (about 6 cups) orange sherbet (recommend Breyers or Kemps)
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7UP), chilled
  • 1 liter orange soda (Fanta or Sunkist), chilled
  • 1 cup pineapple juice (100% juice, no added sugar preferred)
  • Gummy worms or spiders (optional, for decoration)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill the lemon-lime soda and orange soda overnight (at least 6 hours).
  2. About 30 minutes before serving, rinse the punch bowl or drink dispenser with cold water to keep it cold.
  3. Pour 1 cup of pineapple juice into the bottom of the punch bowl.
  4. Slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda, then the orange soda. Stir gently to combine, but do not overmix to preserve carbonation.
  5. Using an ice cream scoop, add 6 to 8 generous scoops of orange sherbet to the punch. Let it float and create a frothy layer.
  6. If using, add gummy worms or spiders to the punch bowl. For extra fun, freeze some gummy worms into ice cubes beforehand and add them.
  7. Serve immediately by ladling the punch into cups, making sure each serving gets some sherbet foam and a gummy worm if desired. Best enjoyed within 30 minutes.

Notes

Temperature is key—everything must be cold. Do not overmix the sherbet; let it float naturally. The punch is best within 30-45 minutes of assembly. For a dairy-free version, use coconut-based orange sorbet. For a lower-sugar version, use diet lemon-lime soda and sherbet made with real fruit juice. To keep punch cold during a party, make an ice ring from pineapple or orange juice.
