A stunning charcuterie board built around crisp Honeycrisp apples, creamy brie, and warm honey. Quick to assemble with simple ingredients, it’s the ultimate fall appetizer for hosting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese
  • 6 oz aged cheddar
  • 4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 4 oz dry-cured salami (Genoa or soppressata)
  • 1/3 cup fig jam
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup spiced pecans
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 box (about 6 oz) crackers (plain water crackers and rosemary or sea salt)
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Take the brie out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature.
  2. Wash and core the Honeycrisp apples, then cut into thin wedges (about 8 slices per apple). Toss with 1 tablespoon lemon juice to prevent browning if desired.
  3. Slice the aged cheddar into thin, bite-sized triangles or small rectangles.
  4. Fold each prosciutto slice in half, then in half again to create ribbons. Fold each salami slice in half, then roll into small tubes.
  5. Spoon the fig jam into one small bowl, dried cranberries into another, and honey into a small ramekin. Place these bowls on the serving board as anchors.
  6. Place the brie wheel off-center on the board. Optionally, score the top in a crosshatch pattern and drizzle with a little honey.
  7. Arrange the cheddar slices near the brie, and fan out the prosciutto and salami in small clusters, leaving space between items.
  8. Fan the apple slices in a half-moon shape near the brie. Arrange the crackers in small stacks or a single layer along the edges of the board.
  9. Sprinkle the spiced pecans and dried cranberries in the gaps between larger items to fill the board and add color.
  10. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs tucked between cheese and apples.
  11. Drizzle the honey over the brie and apple slices just before serving.

Notes

For best results, bring cheeses and meats to room temperature before serving. Assemble everything except apple slices and honey up to 2 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate, then add apples and honey just before serving. Leftover cheese and meats can be stored separately in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.
