These quick and easy fruit skewers mimic the iconic candy corn colors using fresh fruit. Ready in just 10 minutes with only three ingredients, they’re a healthy, no-cook Halloween treat that kids and adults love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 cup mandarin orange segments (canned in juice, drained) or fresh peaches
  • 1 banana (sliced into ½-inch rounds) or 8 large marshmallows (cut in half)
  • Optional: whipped cream or Greek yogurt for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prep your fruit station: Wash hands. Drain mandarins and pat dry on paper towels. If using fresh pineapple, cut into 1-inch chunks. Slice banana into ½-inch rounds or cut marshmallows in half. Arrange fruit in three bowls: white, orange, yellow.
  2. Start with the yellow base: Thread a pineapple chunk onto a wooden skewer, about 1 inch from the bottom.
  3. Add the orange middle: Thread a mandarin orange segment onto the skewer above the pineapple, pressing gently.
  4. Top with white: Finish with a banana slice or marshmallow half on top.
  5. Repeat and arrange: Continue threading until all fruit is used. Arrange skewers on a serving platter in rows or a fan pattern.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate: Best within an hour. If using bananas, serve within an hour or prep fruit separately and assemble just before serving.

Notes

For longer events, use marshmallows instead of bananas to avoid browning. Spritz banana slices with lemon juice to slow browning. Assemble no more than an hour before serving for best texture. For a vegan version, use banana or coconut chunks for the white layer and coconut cream whip for dip.
