This quick and easy fall sangria combines crisp white wine, apple cider, cinnamon, and fresh apples for a cozy, crowd-pleasing drink that comes together in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced into half-moons
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: 1/2 cup sparkling water or ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Wash apples and cut into thin slices (about 1/4 inch thick). Slice orange into thin rounds, then cut into half-moons.
  2. In a large pitcher, pour the entire bottle of white wine. Add apple cider and brandy. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Drizzle in maple syrup and stir until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. Add both cinnamon sticks, pushing them down to submerge.
  5. Add apple slices and orange half-moons. Gently push fruit under the liquid without over-stirring.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight) for best flavor. Can be served immediately if needed.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour sangria over ice, ensuring each glass gets some fruit.
  8. Optional: Top each glass with a splash of sparkling water or ginger ale right before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, let sangria chill for at least 30 minutes. Apples will stay firm for about 24 hours; after that they soften. Can be made non-alcoholic by replacing wine with more apple cider and brandy with apple juice concentrate. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
